About Ernest Grotsky
Over the course of his 30-plus years in general contracting, building inspections, and project management, Ernest Grotsky has pursued a wide range of professional and personal endeavors, upholding a twofold commitment to community stewardship and excellence in commercial construction. Among his most recent activities, Mr. Grotsky served as a Senior Project Manager for CB Richard Ellis Group in Washington, D.C., where he oversaw all facets of scheduling, cost management, and strategic planning for various construction projects. Prior to CB Richard Ellis, Ernest Grotsky spent two years as a Senior Project Manager with Greensboro, North Carolina-based Brooks General Contractors, where he supplied estimates and bids, supervised construction, and led miscellaneous functions for several commercial projects across the state.
Other roles he has held over the years include Vice President of Operations at John S. Clark Company, Project Manager for EBI Detroit, 3M Field Service Representative with Kortech Consulting, Building Inspector for Sarasota County, and owner of Construction Systems of the Palm Beaches. Widely recognized for his leadership as well, Ernest Grotsky formerly served as President of the Associated General Contractors of America and the Mason Contractors Association of America as well as Chairman of the Masonry Institute of Columbus, Ohio. He holds membership in the American Society of Professional Estimators, the American Concrete Institute, and the National Association of Home Builders, among other groups.
A frequent contributor to philanthropic causes, Ernest Grotsky has donated funding to such worthy organizations as the Smithsonian Institution, the USO, and the Paralyzed Veterans of America. In addition, Mr. Grotsky has sat on the School of Technology Construction Program Advisory Board at North Carolina A&T State University and taught various seminars and workshops on construction management at Manatee Community College in Florida.
